What´s more important, the idea, or the execution?
Clearly, the execution is far far more important than the idea. That is simply because today, when you have an idea, you can be 99% sure that someone else has had the idea already and tries to market it vigorously. It does not matter if that person is on the other side of the world, or your neighbour. You hardly can own an idea. To make it alive, you have to give it away - thereby allowing others to give in return.
Anyhow you view it, this is the better stance to take.
As much as how you say something is more important than what you say, how you execute an idea is more important than the idea itsself. An idea is just a flavor in the air. It can be picked up on the fly. Execution in contrast is deep stuff. It takes the right attitude, the right time, the right so and so..
Think of love songs as an example. There are too many and you don´t like every song.
