Purpose
A wake up call from Tony Long via Wired News Podcast; The Luddite. At minute 5:40: “The government and the corporations are giving us bread and circuses to keep us sufficiently distracted, so the powers that be can pursue their agendas.”
“The internet is simply too diffuse to effectively galvanize a revolution. And we desperately need a revolution.”
“All that technology at their fingertips, and they are completely blind. Two terms for George W. Bush? They are deaf and dumb too.”
So, what does really matter to you? Flogging your useless stuff on eBay? Watching TV? Surfing porn? Playing video games in which you battle to save the world?
