Apps that fuel my enterprise

I wanna hug a bunch of programmers today. You´re the guys who fuel the enterprise; who let me launch a new task gracefully; who make me stride across the valley of forgotten talent; who make me toggle things; who revoke the human-machine chasm; who make me growl and whine at the same time; who burn the bridges to a childhood when I sat in the grass with no hint of geek-lust.

  • Growl. Check out Mitar´s Thunderbird growl extension, or NetGrowler. And all. It´s beautiful. New messages recieved via Skype? I like 'em notified sticky.
  • istumbler 97. In a spectrum of waves, i choose the long tale.
  • Launchbar. I am everywhere at once. No, i am everywhere at once. And the Dock is... still useful.
  • Alarm Clock. Yusef Lateef: Poor Fisherman. I don´t wake up with Alarm Clock. I become the day.
  • Shimo. Yeah.
  • Pukka. It´s so small it fits into your pocket. Browser bookmarklet calls Pukka and before i know, the link is already added to Del.icio.us. Pluck.
  • Thunderbird. Is under my skin. More junk mail control would help though.
  • Firefox. Add Engines...
  • iCal. My life is so beautiful. I like to create events just for the sake of it. 30 boxes and Google calendar are fairy enough, but i am not (yet) so fussy about others seeing my good times. Timeline of course i would like to see becoming intuitively interoperable with iCal.
  • Smultron. Is getting better with each new release.
  • Net News Wire. I probably would have bought NewsFire, would i have noticed it first. A simple concise list of explanations with examples for NNW´s Smart List options would be helpful. I always find my self experimenting there, when i just want to use it.
  • Witch. Oh my goo. Ever wanted to switch between the windows of one application? Go for her! You are saving a lifetime of time with this witch.
  • iTunes. In a collectors' world, a manifestation of self-actualization.
  • Omni Outliner. The reason my last exam was such a success, is because i summarized using OmniOutliner. It let me sift through notes as if i were sifting through a field of poppies.
  • Combine PDFs. It does that.
  • Skype, Adium, Colloquy. My spirit hangs with Adium, My contacts hang with Skype, and my IRC habits hang with Colloquy.
  • Sizzling Keys. There are a lot of ways getting at iTunes with every looking at it.
  • Little Snitch. A branding genuis; keeping the voices low.
  • Déjà Vu. Never look back. Once you have scheduled backups to occur when you are not at the computer, you´re digital life will duplicate at no effort.
  • Pandora Boy. Girl, he put supreme music recommendations back in a box by itself.
  • Aquisition. So i can share my neighbour's homework, without stepping out.
  • Onyx. High fidelity operating systems require maintance utilities that keep the house clean.
  • File List. Very useful, for example after downloading photos from your camera.
  • Safari Bookmark exporter. Eases the pain when you´re on rebound to Firefox.
  • Countdown Calendar widget. Time is the best movie ever!!
