Hmm, new favorite snack: Landliebe aprocote flavor yogurt, to which I add: dates from Iran, fresh prunes from Poland, dried apricots from nowhere, crushed walnuts from heaven, and a spoon of canadian grade A maple syrup. Fantastic.

Every time I listen to New Dimensions, the doors swing open to a deep and fascinating Universe. I can't think of a program that did not make me want to turn out the lights, lie down and just listen.

You're looking at a batch of Gregories, the froggiest iPhone Cozies around. As noted before, Gregory is a finalist in the Next Big Thing design competition at Fred Flare. There are 27 finalists in total, and they are being presented one a day at the Fred Flare Blog.

A while ago I wrote about my dissapointments with sloppy hairdressers. I got a little worked up. I pointed out that hair saloons operate on lousy business models to the disadvantage of customers and employees. I still see this, and the situation certainly won't change, unless somebody seizes the opportunity to make a difference. In a recent article about barbershops, Brett & Kate McKay echo the madness:
“If you're like most men these days, you're probably going to some unisex chain salon like Supercuts. I used to do it too. Most of the time, I'd walk out of these places with a crappy haircut.”

HER MILK is one of 4 new sticker designs for iPod nano. The stickers can be purchased at shufflesome.com. I have only produced a handful of these, and don't plan to reprint any designs during the next one or two month, as I'll be hunching over books in the library.

While posting Alconic's audio cassette nostalgia to the Shufflesome Blog, I remembered a photo i took, which led me to more tape nostalgia:

There is much to love about this piece by Jonathan Harris. The blue and red tint, the subversive holy ambience, the pun on the bible (my interpretation), the symmetry underlying the ruination, the opposing forces of decreasing clarity of details and increasing revelation of flesh toward the center, the sly act of scripting this story in advance, the simultaneous depiction of phases that people who attend art events move through, the apparent confusion blended with the intractable, destined paths on which we converge, the foreboding of sex and shattered dreams.

Why does Google meddle in already troubled waters? Who is Google? What is water? I demand the immediate, irrevocable, irrefutable and irresistible renaming of the Persian Gulf to Cherished Gulf! Some people will still prefer Persian Gulf, though.

That's the conclusion you can make from quantum physics: That consciousness is fundamental to everything. So the brain becomes important... for a translator from this universal consciousness through the brain and to the body...it's not generating the consciousness, it's just translating it.…

Digital is about authenticity. You can see it in the language they use. Obama uses the language of "we and you," which is inclusive and nods to the wisdom of the crowds. She uses "I and me." His stuff is about "yes, you can." Which is about the buyer. She talks about "experience from day one." That's about the seller. That doesn't resonate anymore.

Powerlessness corrupts. . . . We have way more power than we realize. In a democracy, the highest position of authority is not president or supreme court justice. It is citizen. We, the people, hold sovereignty, which means ultimate political authority - but we have been taught to not know this. They have convinced us that we are powerless. We are not. If we think we are, then we are. And the key to this is, what my t-shirt says: organize. All us little mosquitoes need to start biting the big Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he'll leave the forest after getting bitten enough times. It's a Lilliputian strategy. But that is what democracy is all about.
