Keeping in touch with people is not my forte. I don't need the daily blabla, but realize that i want to get better at this and follow-up with people whom I haven't contacted in a while. Often you just know whom you should talk to, but with a growing contact list in Address Book, I want to get some computing power involved in facilitating this task.

Even before the final release, Things is so useful and usable, that it is one of my always-open apps. With the features to come, I bet there will be little in the way of managing projects of any size - anything from watering your plants to organizing the Olympics.

Things will be released this Spring. It will enable you to set recurring tasks - something iCal does not. A useful review of task management apps at putthingsoff.com mentiones that Things might also integrate with iCal.

I ran across Timeline by SIMILE today. Being weary of using Excel to create timelines, i was sure there must be something slicker out there. Lifehacker offers a good introduction to Timeline: Geek to Live: Roll your own timeline.
Timeline is “a DHTML AJAX timeline widget for visualizing temporal information. It is like Google Maps for time-based information.”
